For engineers considering a move
Senior engineering careers in Sydney & NSW.
For senior civil, structural, geotechnical and infrastructure engineers through to principal, associate and director level. We work a short list of clients across Sydney, NSW and the wider Australian market, and we take candidate representation seriously.
Who we represent
Senior level and above.
Our focus sits at senior level and above. Senior engineers, principals, associates, team leads, design managers, engineering managers and director-level appointments across civil, structural, geotechnical, flooding and water resources, drainage and stormwater, façade, transport and traffic, civil design and engineering leadership.
We take earlier-career briefs on request when a client specifically asks for one, but the day-to-day work is senior roles with consultancies, infrastructure companies and contractors across NSW. If you are a graduate or recently qualified engineer, a generalist agency with volume reach is usually a better fit than us.
What makes a move worth making
The move that compounds, not the counter-offer.
The best senior engineers in NSW get approached constantly. The number of them who move for the right reason is small. The questions worth asking before you take a call, let alone a role:
- The projects. What is the actual pipeline for the next 24 months, not the marketing line. Who is leading the technical work and are they staying.
- The structure above you. Principals, associates and directors who are going to sharpen your technical ceiling, or a flat structure where the ceiling is you.
- The brief, not the title. A senior title you grow into on the right team compounds. A senior title you are given to close the offer, on the wrong team, does not.
- The commercial reality. Base, utilisation expectation, bonus mechanism and genuine path to equity or director — in that order. If any of them are vague, that is the answer.
How we work with candidates
Confidential. Specific. No CV spraying.
A CV sent to us does not go anywhere else without an explicit conversation. We do not blast CVs across the market, and we do not represent anyone to a client without their active sign-off on that specific role and that specific firm.
If a brief does not match what you want next, we will say so plainly rather than put you forward. If we think the move you are considering is the wrong one, we will say that too. The whole point of using a specialist is to get an honest read on the market — not another process to manage.
If you are not actively looking but want a line in the sand for when the right role turns up, that is also fine. A quick ten-minute call now beats a cold intro six months into a role you did not want to leave.
Disciplines we cover
Where the senior briefs sit.
- Civil engineering — roads, rail, drainage, water, land development and infrastructure delivery. Civil specialism.
- Structural engineering — buildings, towers, bridges and transfer structures. Structural specialism.
- Geotechnical engineering — site investigation, foundations, tunnelling and slope engineering. Geotechnical specialism.
- Flooding, drainage, façade, transport, civil design and engineering leadership — the broader disciplines we recruit for alongside the core three, all at senior level and above.
